King Eddy To Depart
Vital Tranmere Rovers have been told by reliable sources that Gambian International Eddy Sonko will not get his contract renewed.

'Eddy signed for the club in the summer of 2008 on a 1 year deal, however Vital Tranmere have been told Ronnie Moore will not re-new Sonko's contract. Eddy is loved by the Tranmere faithful for his funny character and banter he has with the crowd.

Vital Tranmere would like to thank 'Eddy for his time at the club and wish him all the best for the future.

Looks like he's on his way out and I, for one, will be glad to see the back of him if this report turns out to be true. Some of the performances he put in this season were atrocious to say the least and that's being kind. He has a lot of work to do if he is to become anywhere near the player he can be. He needs to work on his heading, pace, shooting, tackling, passing, etc etc. I think you get the point. Best of luck wherever you end up Eddie but don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Agreed that he's a top bloke but this is a professional business and at the end of the day he's not been good enough so he has to go in my opinion.
