The Gaffer's Pre-Match Thoughts - Scunthorpe (A)

The Gaffer's Pre-Match Thoughts - Scunthorpe (A)
Whoever wins the game at Glanford Park will be guaranteed a play off position with the loser missing out finishing 7th.

Moore told the club's official website:

'We know what we have to do and it doesn't matter what happens on Tueday. We've got to go to Scunthorpe and win. It has been a wonderful achievement by the players to get so close when you consider we were seven points behind them and they had two games in hand at one stage. We now have to make sure we achieve what we want to achieve.

'I think we'll take a right following there and the atmosphere will be brilliant. As a player it's what you want to be involved in.'

Meanwhile the manager was also full of praise for his players for making it 18 unbeaten at Prenton Park for the season.

Moore finished:

'It's a great achievement when you consider we lost three games very early on at home. It's a magnificent effort from the players. We're just a little bit disappointed we didn't win on Saturday

So nervous for the game!

Very nervous about the game but I'm also quietly confident we can get a result. With Landsbury, arguably one of their most influential midfielders, out with a ligament injury, Kay and Jennings may be able to stamp more authority on the midfield and run the game for us. Hope to see Savage back as he gives us something different up top.
