Moore on Stockport

Moore on Stockport
Rovers beat Carlisle on Saturday comfortably and Moore is hoping for a similar performance:

Moore told the clubs official website:

'It's another tough game for us. They will be smarting from their defeat on Saturday and we expect them to battle. But our home form is as good as anybody's in the division and we are looking forward to the challenge. Stockport are a good side who like to pass it and give you problems in the way they play with their movement. But if we play as well as we can then hopefully we'll be ok.

'Jim [Gannon] will be disappointed that Oldham got into their ribs and over powered them. That's something we have to do. If we stand off, like when we went there earlier in the season, they ran us ragged in the first half. We need to be aggressive in the right way. We need to stop them from playing, and then get our full backs forward.'

Meanwhile Moore also has revealed that he will be without skipper Antony Kay, striker Craig Curran, Chris Greenacre and Terry Gornell, but Bas Savage is available following his 1 match suspension, Moore finished:

'The strikers are all missing again, though Bas Savage is back in the reckoning. Kaysy won't play tomorrow, but hopefully he'll be fit for the game on Saturday. It will be more or less what finished that will start this game.

'Craig saw a specialist last week. He's going to work with Les for a fortnight to try and work on his fitness. He had the setback which wasn't good for him. I feel sorry for him. He's first in and last out, he wants to play and he keeps getting these niggling injuries which are stopping him at the moment.'
