Two Move On From Tranmere
Ahead of the game against Gillingham on Good Friday, Tranmere Rovers announced that two players had moved on from the club.
The first announcement concerned striker Akpo Sodje.
The 33 year old joined us back in the summer of 2013 on a free transfer after leaving Scunthorpe, and went on to make five starting appearances, with a further six from the bench.
His last game for us this season came at the end of November when we lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In February he moved to Macclesfield Town on loan, where he has made a further two starts and three from the bench.
Midfielder Andy Robinson has also departed the club by mutual consent.
The 34 year old has made 107 appearances for Tranmere in four spells, scoring 19 times in total for us.
His most recent spell began officially in the summer of 2011, despite him spending two loan spells with us during his time at Leeds United prior to that, after he moved on from us to Swansea.
He has made 20 appearances so far this season, the last one coming in the game against Swindon Town in March, and he had scored four times.
Football Operations Director and Club Secretary Mick Horton said.
'Andy has been a fantastic player for the club. We wish him all the best.'
