'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Moore Delighted With Colchester Win

Manager Ronnie Moore was delighted at full time as he watched on as we beat Colchester United two one.

Ryan Lowe again proved his worth as he grabbed both goals in the game, but it was also a lively debut for loan signing Kris Peterson and of course James Wallace made his return to Prenton Park for the first time in 12 months.

Speaking to the Official Site following the game, the manager explained that with how the first half played out he found it unbelievable really that we almost had to use our entire number of allowed substitutes inside of the first 15 minutes owing to injuries to Jon Otsemobor and then Ian Goodison so he joked that he wouldn't be fielding questions about the first goal because he was half way up the tunnel trying to find out what was happening with Jean-Louis.

'We nearly had three subs on in the first 15 minutes. It was unbelievable. But fair dos to the lads who had been left out and came on, they had the right attitude. I thought it was deserved and we could have had more, it was just disappointing to concede a sloppy one at the death.'

Moore goes on to say that James Wallace was awesome during the game especially when you again consider how long he has been out, but he thinks he won every single header he went for, and the gaffer goes on to say that Kris 'had me on the waltzers, never mind their full back' saying he's a credit to Liverpool for how quickly he adjusted to put in a performance like that, especially at his age.

As for moving on now he says it definitely feels like we are moving in the right direction again now, so the secret will be more points and more wins so we can really shoot up the table to a more respectable position, and he wants us to now take advantage of how tight the league actually is.
