Akpo Sodje Signs For Tranmere

33 year old striker Akpo Sodje has put pen to paper on a 12 month deal at Tranmere.

The striker also has a further years option and has joined up in time to figure in the Altrincham friendly should Ronnie Moore choose to give him a run out.

The experienced striker has made 290 career appearances and in 33 matches last season for Preston and Scunthorpe, he scored 13 times.

Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer said.

'I'm pleased to be able to bring Akpo to Tranmere as he's a player I've been looking at for some time. He's a big, powerful centre forward who leads the line well and can score goals. We now have four good striking options available and they all offer us something slightly different.'
