Pre Season For Wallace Still In Doubt

Ronnie Moore has said he's not yet sure if James Wallace will return in time for the start of the season after damaging his knee ligaments last season.

The injury occurred in the FA Cup game against Chesterfield but he still has pain in his knee despite his rehabilitation programme so far.

Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer explained.

'He's still feeling a bit sore and he's probably a couple of weeks behind everybody else. He's doing straight line running and stretching, so it's not like he's doing nothing, but he's not twisting and turning yet.'

Moore says he definitely won't figure for the first two weeks in pre season as things stand but Moore remains hopeful that maybe he could figure at Burnley or Wrexham.

'The worst scenario is he might miss the first couple of games, I'm not saying he won't start the season, but it will be touch or go whether he does.'
