Mooney Signs One Year Extension

Goalkeeper Jason Mooney has put pen to paper on a new 12 month deal at Tranmere.

The 24 year old joined us from Wycombe Wanderers last summer and made his debut in our final game of the season against Bournemouth, keeping a clean sheet in the process.

Speaking to the Official Site gaffer Ronnie Moore said.

'Jason has really progressed over the last 12 months and I'm pleased he'll be staying with us. He works really hard with our goalkeeper coach Dave Timmins and I'm sure if he keeps that up he will continue to improve as a player.'

Moore says that he hopes this signing is the first of many this summer because he's been doing the legwork in talking to players and agents over the last few months and he knows it would be nice if his squad for next season started to take shape now.
