Wallace Hopes To Be Back For Season Start
James Wallace has said that he's hopeful of being fit and ready for the start of the season after injuring his knee before last Christmas.
He suffered the injury in the game against Chesterfield in the FA Cup, and following surgery on his damaged medial ligaments he has spent the last few months following a rehabilitation programme and so far he's pleased with his progress.
Speaking to the Official Site he said.
'It's coming on. Apart from my holidays I've been at the gym or Prenton Park training almost every day since the season ended. I've started running again and am progressing into going at three quarter pace and doing functional work.'
Wallace admits that when the players return to training he won't be able to take all of the sessions that they will as he still has to take it carefully, but he's hopeful he'll be back and in contention for some of our latter friendly games so he can be considered come the start of the season.
