Max Wants Power Start At Prenton

Midfielder Max Power has said he'd be delighted if Tranmere can start the coming season with an opening day at home.

Speaking to the Official Site Max said that when the fixtures are announced he always looks for our first game of the season, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and then the season closer and he'd love it if all those could be home games this season.

'On all these occasions it's nice to be at home, but I know that's asking a lot! You want to start at home because there's usually a bigger crowd than normal and a really good atmosphere.'

He adds his desire for Boxing Day games to be at home is selfish as it means players can spend time with their families instead of travelling and staying in a hotel.

Power continues to add that the Wolves and Sheffield United fixtures will be big this season, and obviously the North West derby against Oldham will figure highly.
