Mooney Can Be Proud Of Debut

Ronnie Moore has said that Jason Mooney can be proud of his performance and he was pleased to see his training ground form translate to the pitch.

Speaking to the Official Site after watching the debutant keep a clean sheet, Moore said.

'To make your debut, and not concede against the team who were top of the league, is fantastic for the lad. He had a bit to do and made one or two decent saves, I was pleased for him.'

Moore says that although the saves he made, he would've been expected to make, on your debut the pressure can sometimes lead you to not do what is expected, so he was also pleased with the mental strength he showed on the ocassion.

What will be a huge boost for the No2 is that Moore says he has proven that if something happens to Fonners, then he hasn't got to worry about trying for an experienced loan, because he thinks Mooney, especially as he'll only get better, will be more than capable cover.
