Disappointing Campaign, But Right Direction

Whilst Ronnie Moore has said he was disappointed with how we ended the season, he believes overall we are moving in the right direction.

Speaking to the Official Site as we ended this season with 11 more points on the board than last season, Moore said there were lots of positives we can take into our next campaign, as well as a lot of lessons learnt.

'There's disappointment in some ways but a lot of enjoyment along the way. There's progression, but we were top of the league for 25 games and we had such a disasterous end to the season.'

Moore said nobody can argue that we overachieved at the beginning of the campaign, especially when you look at budgets we should be second from bottom, so it really was an achievement for the team to perform at those levels, and now changes have to be made so we can perform at those levels for longer.

Although even then, Moore admits the injury situation cost us dear because the squad wasn't deep enough to cope. Especially punch up front.

'I honestly believe we are moving in the right direction.'

He also points to Yeovil's progress this season, and if he can get the players he wants over the summer, he doesn't see why we can't be the surprise team that battles for play off places next campaign.
