Ronnie Moore Says First Half Unacceptable

Ronnie Moore told www.tranmererovers.co.uk that the first half wasn`t acceptable and cost us the game against Carlisle.

He explained: 'The first 45 minutes was unacceptable. We've spoken about tempo and turning them and for some reason in the first half we were kicking 60 and 70 yard balls which is not us. We pass, pass and then turn them." Adding, 'We're top of the league but we can't turn up with seven players. We're not Manchester United, we can't get scrape a 2-1 win. We have to have eleven men up and at them, closing down and stopping people from playing. We never had that in the first half and it was comfortable for Carlisle."

Can you imagine the dressing room at half time? Actually, probably better not.

He also says that the ref had a nightmare but did admit the sending off was correct.

He told BBC Radio that the incident that led to Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro being sent off was a 'stupid thing to do` and that the striker would be fined. See: Seeing Red Costs Akpa Akpro 3 Match Ban
