Seeing Red Costs Akpa Akpro 3 Match Ban

Tranmere Rovers have confirmed that Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro will serve a three match ban (violent conduct) for seeing red in the match v Carlisle United at the weekend.

See stats: Tranmere 0 - Carlisle 1

The forward therefore misses games v Leyton Orient, Shrewsbury Town and Swindon Town. He can make a return for the 23/02/2013 away game v Colchester United.

Ronnie Moore was less than impressed.

He told BBC Radio Merseyside:

'What a stupid thing to do. He'll be fined, there's no doubt about that. He's let everybody down today. As good as he is, and everything else, you can't have that. We all pay for one stupid lack of professionalism.'

Be interesting to know what the maximum fine he can be given is. Surely if you miss three matches, you should lose any pay for that period?
