Having seen an unbeaten run ended at the weekend Scunthorpe tasted defeat once more on Tuesday night when league one leaders Tranmere won at Glanford Park.

It all started so well for Scunthorpe with Karl Hawley (15) scoring his first goal since his arrival to give them an early lead, which was taken into the half time break.

Shortly after the hour two-goals in a two-minute spell from James Wallace (64) and Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro (66) turned the game on it's head with Tranmere coming from behind to lead.

A 3-1 victory was wrapped up for the visitors by Akpa Akpro's (88) second two-minutes from time.
